Andy Chu

Andy Chu is a leading Chinese Cookery Consultant and award winning Patisserie, Confectionary and Savoury cook. He has several decades' expertise in delivering delicious East Asian cuisine for the Western palette, having first garnered his craft in the kitchens of his parental hotel in Macau, Mainland China. Having arrived in the UK Andy fulfilled his fascination with Western delicacies by completing training in European Patisserie and Confectionary techniques. He continues to broaden his knowledge of Eastern and Western cooking techniques and aims to create simplified tasty Oriental cuisines so that everyone can learn and prepare them with relative ease.

Brief History

Since 2000, Andy has worked with Chinese Food Specialists Mr. Peter Tsang and Mrs. Kit Tsang, owners of the Wah Hing Chinese Supermarket, to deliver cookery demonstrations to public audiences at high profile events and food festivals. Here Andy, has also introduced his audience to Chinese traditions and culture, often holding demonstrations in timely conjunction with traditional Chinese festivals. Andy's cooking demonstrations have been held at: Taste Festival, Chef Lives, Ideal Home Exhibition and Food and Wine Festival.

Andy has also participated in voluntary work for local schools and colleges introducing many young people to the joys of Chinese culture and cookery.
